Bleach follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student with the ability to see ghosts, and a Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki. The early parts of the story focus mainly on these characters. As events unfold, the story begins to delve deeper into the world of the gods of death.

The manga series has been adapted into an animated television series, two OVAs, two animated feature films, a rock musical, numerous video games, and a collectible card game. Compilation volumes of the manga have sold over 40 million copies in Japan, and have reached the top of manga sales charts in the United States. The manga received the Shogakukan Manga Award for its shōnen title in 2005, and the anime has been nominated for several American Anime Awards.

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN

The story revolves mainly around Naruto Uzumaki`s and Sakura Haruno`s new adventures and their search for Sasuke Uchiha after he left Konoha-gakure (Konoha Village) to gain Orochimaru`s power. The plot also shows a more active Akatsuki in their quest for obtaining all the tailed beasts.

After his failed attempt to retrieve Sasuke, Naruto learns that circumstances have granted him slightly less than three years to prepare for a confrontation with Orochimaru, who has to wait that much time before he can transfer into Sasuke`s body. Naruto also must prepare for his eventual confrontation with Akatsuki, who are after the demon sealed within him. To prepare, Naruto leaves the village and undergoes intensive training under Jiraiya. At the same time, Sakura becomes Tsunade`s apprentice, and Sasuke trains under Orochimaru. Thus, all three members of the original Team 7 are now training under one of the Legendary Sannin.

A man named Genma Saotome and his son, Ranma, travelled to China to train at the accursed Jusenkyo training grounds. The area was spotted with small pools of water with stalks of bamboo jutting from them. Genma and Ranma jumped atop the bamboo stalks disregarding their Guide's shouts and warnings.

Ranma knocks his father out of the air and sends him plummeting into one of the pools below. Ranma is shocked when a giant panda leaps out of the water and proceeds to attack him. The panda gains the upper hand and Ranma falls into one of the springs below. When he emerges he is shocked to find that he has turned into a girl.

The father and son travel to Japan to meet Genma's old friend, Soun Tendo. Even before their children were born, Genma and Soun promised to engage two of their children. Soun's daughters, Kasumi, Nabiki, and Akane are shocked to find one of them has been engaged to a girl, but once Ranma's secret is revealed, the two elder daughters elect Akane to be Ranma's fiancee.

Ranma and Akane can not stand each other after their first meeting. Akane thinks Ranma is a pervert when he accidentally see her nude in the bathroom, and Ranma is not fond of Akane's aggressive outbursts. The two seem to be a match made in hell, and things only seem to get worse once school begins.

Ranma quickly butts heads with Akane's would-be suitor, Tatewaki Kuno, who tries to win her affections on a daily basis. When Kuno discovers that Akane is now engaged to Ranma, he instantly dislikes him. Things become more complicated when Kuno meets Ranma in his female form and instantly falls for the mysterious "Pig-Tailed Girl".

20. Hiruko vs. Two Kunoichi "Hiruko vs. futari no kunoichi" (ヒルコVS二人の女忍者)

Chiyo explains to Sakura that Sasori used to be one of the best puppeteers in Sunagakure, but he began experimenting with real people. Sakura learns that Sasori's true body is hiding within his favorite puppet, Hiruko, ensuring that he cannot be attacked while controlling it. The only way to defeat Sasori is to destroy his puppet. Using teamwork, Chiyo and Sakura are able to dodge Sasori's attacks and demolish the puppet, from which Sasori himself emerges. Just outside, Deidara begins telling Naruto and Kakashi how much stronger Sasori is compared to himself.

After preparations, Team Guy removes the tags and disables the barrier allowing Team Kakashi to enter the hideout. Meanwhile the Akatsuki members have ended the astral projection technique and left the hideout. Deidara and Sasori who were the only ones physically present, remain behind to take care of the intruders.

Team Guy and Team Kakashi both finish their breaks and go on towards the Akatsuki lair. Naruto shows intense passion and is in a hurry to reach Gaara. Chiyo notices this and Kakashi explains to her that Naruto is also a Jinchuriki and knows the pain Gaara has lived through. Chiyo explains that she was the ninja who sealed Shukaku in Gaara, in order to protect the Sand village. Meanwhile, Akatsuki has finished extracting Shukaku from Gaara, who dies wondering if he has become a person whom others need. Team Guy and Team Kakashi finally meet in front of the sealed entrance to the Akatsuki lair.

16. The Secret of Jinchūriki "Jinchūriki no himitsu" (人柱力の秘密)
Kakashi's and Guy's teams both figure out that their battles with the doppelgängers were set-up to delay them from coming to Gaara's rescue. Chiyo reveals that in attempts to control the power of the tailed beasts they were bound to human hosts called "Jinchūriki", and that the human host dies when the beast is extracted — increasing the urgency of saving Gaara. Kankuro is awake and joins a meeting of the Sand council where the history of the Sand village is explained. Both teams stop to rest since their battles have taken their tolls and in preparation for the battles to come. Akatsuki sends Zetsu to "dispose" of the doppelgängers corpses.

Distracted and immobilized by Kakashi's shadow clone, Itachi takes a direct hit from Naruto's Great Ball Rasengan. Meanwhile, Guy defeats Kisame using his Morning Peacock technique. The Konoha shinobi then find, to their surprise, that they have not defeated Itachi or Kisame, but two entirely different people.

Kakashi leads the attack against Itachi with Naruto following close behind, but Naruto is shocked when the real Itachi explodes into a cloud and his allies morph into Itachi clones.

At Konoha, Tsunade foresees the difficulty of Team Kakashi's mission and orders Team Guy to back them up.

8. Team Kakashi Deployed "Shutsugeki, Kakashi han" (出撃、カカシ班)
Kankuro's attacks are all nullified by Sasori's scorpion-like tail. He eventually pierces Kankuro with his tail, inflicting him with a slow-acting poison. Kankuro is puzzled at how easily Sasori counters his fighting style. Sasori reveals that he himself used to be from Sunagakure and that Kankuro's puppets are his own creations. In response to the Akatsuki assault, Sunagakure sends a distress call to Konoha.
9. The Jinchūriki's Tears "Jinchūriki no namida" (人柱力の涙)
Kankuro is brought back to the village but he is feeling the effects of Sasori's deadly poison. The village's medics are helpless finding a cure. Baki decides to seek help from the village's elders, Chiyo and Ebizo. Meanwhile, Konoha receives the emergency message from Sunagakure. Tsunade chooses to send Kakashi, Naruto and Sakura to respond to the Sand's need. Along the way, Sakura learns for the first time that Naruto's body contains the demon fox.

6. Quota Cleared "Norumakuriā" (ノルマクリアー)
Deidara is determined to capture the Kazekage. Unfazed by the loss of his arm, he unleashes a massive clay bomb onto the village. Gaara is able to deflect the bomb by using his sand to create an enormous shield over the village. However, this leaves him open to a sudden attack, and he inadvertently uses sand that had been seeded with Deidara's clay to defend himself. Deidara then detonates the clay-infested sand, which knocks Gaara unconscious. Deidara captures him and flies away.
7. Run, Kankuro "Hashire Kankurō" (疾走れカンクロウ)
As Deidara carries an unconscious Gaara out of the village, Gaara's older brother Kankuro chases after them. At the village entrance he discovers that all the guards there have already been killed. Upon catching Deidara and Sasori, Kankuro initiates his Puppet Technique by summoning his puppets Karasu, Kuroari, and Sanshouo. Sasori sees this as an opportunity to demonstrate his skills, and he allows Deidara to go ahead so that he can battle Kankuro alone.

5. As the Kazekage...! "Kazekage to shite…!" (風影として…！)
Deidara sees that subduing the Kazekage is not as easy as he thought. He hurls exploding clay at Gaara to no effect, as Gaara can quickly summon a shield of sand around him with relative ease. Gaara then commands his sand to attack Deidara who has no choice but to try to evade. Gaara's sand eventually catches up with Deidara and crushes his arm.

He takes to the skies aboard a giant clay bird and begins his aerial assault by lobbing exploding clay spiders onto the guards, instantly killing them. As soon as he makes it to the Kazekage building, however, he finds Gaara there waiting for him.

1. Homecoming "Kikyō" (帰郷)

Naruto Uzumaki returns to Konoha after a two-and-a-half-year training journey with Jiraiya. He is reintroduced to his peers, who have all advanced to Chunin rank and beyond, unlike Naruto who is still a Genin. Elsewhere, two members of Akatsuki head towards Sunagakure to capture Gaara, who has since become the Kazekage, the village leader.
2. Akatsuki makes its move "Akatsuki, shidō" (暁、始動)
Jiraiya tells Kakashi Hatake that Akatsuki's plan to collect the tailed beasts is underway. Because of the Demon Fox inside him, Naruto is in danger any time he leaves the village, so Jiraiya relinquishes Naruto's training to Kakashi, who can ensure his safety. Kakashi gives Naruto and Sakura Haruno a test to see how far they have improved. Meanwhile, the Akatsuki members Deidara and Sasori arrive at the entrance of the Sunagakure. They discover that Yura, their sleeper agent, has already cleared the guards.

A few nights later Ryoga makes his way back to the Tendos' home where it is revealed that he followed Ranma to Jusenkyo and was cursed himself. Akane finds Ryoga transformed into a pig in her room, and adopts him and gives him the name P-chan (Akane doesn't realize that P-chan and Ryoga are the same person).

Once Nabiki realizes Ryoga might lose (and she'll lose all her money) she tries to convince Ryoga to take some steroids (actually just vitamins, but Ryoga believes her). Ryoga finds out about Ranma's curse and Akane's hair gets severely cut.

Ranma tries to give Ryoga some bread to replace all that he had taken from Ryoga in Junior High.

Ranma and Akane eat burgers in the park, while Akane explains to Ranma how long Tofu has liked Kasumi. Genma recounts the time he broke a girls heart, and Ranma tells Akane she's cute when she smiles.

Dr. Tofu repairs Ranma's contusions, but Akane ends up having to carry him home after his legs go out. The male students at Furinkan High stop fighting Akane after they realize Ranma's beaten Kuno. Daisuke and Hiroshi make their first appearance. Akane returns a book Kasumi borrowed to Dr. Tofu, where they find Genma working. It's revealed that Tofu loves Kasumi.

Kuno invites Nabiki to lunch in order to get her to deliver a doll to Ranma. Nabiki sells her photos to Kuno for ¥1000 each. Nabiki then tells Kuno that "The Pigtailed Girl" belongs to Ranma body and soul.

Kuno and Ranma fall into Furinkan High's swimming pool while fighting. This is Kuno's first meeting with "The Pigtailed Girl," Ranma's female version. Akane fights Kuno to keep him distracted while Ranma tries to change back into a boy. Ranma (girl) beats Kuno and he immediately becomes infatuated with her. Nabiki delivers a message from Kuno addressed to female Ranma, and when Ranma meets Kuno for what he believes is a fight, Kuno confesses his love to female Ranma.

Akane and Ranma sto by Dr. Tofu's clinic for some hot water. Ranma realizes Akane likes Dr. Tofu. When they arrive at school, Akane has to fight her way through all the boys trying to ask her out (one of Akane's most impressive fight scenes) Tatewaki Kuno and Ranma begin their rivalry and Akane explains that Kuno is the one that told the students whomever could defeat her in combat could date her.
